Hello.  Just a quick update today.

So last Thursday we got together with a few friends to celebrate Kim’s belated birthday dinner at Ma Salle a Manger. Kim saw me snapping photos and knew that they would all end up as apiggyinparis blog fodder…so I can’t disappoint. Seeing as my blog is so widely read and all…uh, yeah. :D

Kim, the birthday boy and his lovely wife Sudhir, and Mike.

And the other side of the table…Anders, the hilarious Ed, and Bwong.
As for the weekend we spent Saturday doing a little shopping and continuing my hunt for decent ramen in Paris, we stopped into a place and all I have to say is that I’m still searching. I’m beginning to think two things may just not exist in Paris - good ramen and cheap Chinese food. Sigh…those two things make me miss California.
But all was not lost.  Sunday we trekked over to a bento place that we read about and got some bento boxes to go and picnicked in the Jardin des Tuileries, the lovely garden that stretches out in front of the Louvre.

I caught a pigeon eating M&Ms. Good stuff. I love M&M’s too, Mr. Pigeon.
Oh! And then I was just sitting there minding my own business when a bird flew on to my lap.  I shrieked and scared it away. If I had seen it coming I might have let it stay on my lap, but it caught my by surprise. It was one of those small, cute sparrows.

omg…I don’t know what I would have done if it was a pigeon…even if it were offering me some M&Ms.
I read and Brandon snoozed.

So that was our weekend. Today we are leaving for a weekend in Nice. Will the French Riviera be all that we’ve imagined it to be? Stay tuned.
Bon week-end everyone! Oink! Oink!
