Oops, getting a little behind on my blogging, aren’t I? It gets tougher and tougher when I don’t have jet lag on my side to keep me awake until morning. Current sleeping hours range anywhere from 2-3am-ish to 10-11am. Not bad. Good progress I would say. So anywho, here’s what went down on Sunday.

Parisian Chinatown. The same Chinatown you would find anywhere else in the world. The consistency is very comforting.

So Brandon took me out to lunch at a great thai/vietnamese place called Lao Lane Xang. Great food. Were you expecting something else? :D

Crispy rice salad…delicious! Kinda like lettuce wraps with thai basil and cilantro.

Good pick, hubby!

Brandon chose fried duck with greens & TONS of garlic.

I chose a thai basil chicken. Yum!

So after that lunch we were totally craving boba, and seeing as we were in chinatown, we thought it would be a good call. Bad call. Do not let this unassuming cup of boba fool you! It was so disgusting…well, the tea wasn’t horrible, but the boba was blech! >:/ So one thing we can’t have in Paris…boba. A pretty steep price to pay. But I guess sacrifices must be made.

Chinatown concluded with grocery shopping. Not pictured. :P

At home, the asian-ness continued. Well, I guess it always continues, as we are both asian…but you get what I mean. On the menu: vegetable fried rice and imperial rolls. Saute veggies, set aside.

Fry rice & egg

Then combine and add soy sauce and sesame seed oil.

Imperial rolls.

And I have to have it drizzled with sriracha sauce.

So there you have it. Sunday. Piggy signing off. Oink! Oink!
