Finally le week end is here and I got to venture out with Brandon. Today’s destination - La Grande Epicerie & Le Bon Marche.

OMG.

Le Grande Epicerie left me speechless…I’m not going to even try to describe it. So hopefully these photos will convey the message. And since a photo is worth a thousand words, here are about 11,000 of them. Enjoy!

Phew! Looking around at all that food made us hungry. And those photos were just of the prepared foods section. Its also a very large grocery store with thousands of specialty food items. Definitely a sight to see. Probably more enjoyable than any museum or monument…at least for me. :D

Ha, and after all that, we decided on these sandwiches. But don’t let them fool you, they were scrumptious!

Smoked turkey, greens, sun-dried tomatoes, and a mushroom spread for me and a prosciutto, emmental, greens, and sun-dried tomato sandwich for B.

After lunch, we headed to the across the street to do a little window shopping at Le Bon Marche. Its a luxury goods department store.

Nothing too exciting to report on here. Its a beautiful department store, but too rich for our blood.

Heading back through the metro.

Scrabble tile metro station: Concorde

No pictures of what I made for dinner tonight. It would be too embarrassing to show after the display of glorious food in tonight’s post.

Tomorrow’s venture out, Chinatown. Stay tuned. This is Piggy signing off. Oink! Oink!
